The Tasty Beginnings™ Student Full Year Set (Grades K–2) provides a complete, Science of Reading-aligned literacy experience designed for how young learners naturally develop. At this stage, reading and writing grow together, so instruction should reflect that. Every lesson integrates both, reinforcing skills in a way that supports real learning.

This full-year set includes two integrated student books. Book 1 builds foundational skills and guides learners through the first half of the year. Book 2 seamlessly continues, strengthening and expanding those skills through the second half. Together, they create a cohesive literacy journey from beginning to end.

Students engage with a variety of texts while building phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, and early grammar. Writing development progresses alongside reading, moving from letters and words to sentences and early composition.

The full-color design is intentional, created to engage young learners and support focus. Lessons are scaffolded to meet students at their developmental level, with built-in support that allows for flexible pacing and differentiation.
